Amplifying the Story of everyday heroes

“Folk Voices: Amplifying the Story of Everyday Heroes” was born out of the philosophy that we can best understand the history of a region by listening to the stories of its people. As Connecticut State Troubadour, I’ve been asked to give voice to the state of Connecticut and all things unique to it through the art of song. What better way to do that than to tell the stories of its people?

I’m currently seeking stories about everyday trailblazers who have had, or could have, a profound impact on our community. If you or someone you know has an inspirational story of innovation, overcoming hardship, or enacting social change that deserves to be highlighted and brought to life by music, reach out to me for further details!

This project will be collecting stories to be transformed into song until October 31, 2024. Up to twelve stories will be selected to be featured in a video series to be released in the spring of 2025.
