On Wednesday I performed at the Victoria’s Station open mic, playing two originals as well as “Concrete Angel” by Martina McBride. It was so nice to be back - being away at a South Carolina university for the past several months without a car, I wasn’t able to play out nearly as much. After performing and listening to many other talented musicians last night, I felt refreshed and newly inspired. Sharing music with other artists and an attentive audience is such a wonderful experience. I’m hoping to perform this coming tuesday at John Harvard’s Brew House in Manchester, CT.

Kala will be performing at the Reed-Swale Folkfest on Sunday, July 1, 2007, for 30 minutes starting at around 2:30. This event is at someone’s house, but performers can invite their friends.

Some more information from the organizers: “Do invite friends, just tell them it’s a pot luck
picnic and to bring a dish or snacks to share. There’s no admission fee, but we will be passing the hat several times (we’ll divide it up at the end). Bring lawn chairs or a blanket and bug spray. There will be a table set up (and someone sitting at it) for cd sales.”
